Last night, I worked on a spaceship shooter game from scratch in Java. It was hella fund to build, I used the Java LWG engine and openGL for the graphics. All of the code fit into a single file.
Video game development was part of what first inspired me to get into coding in the first place, it was a lot of fun to build and took maybe 30 minutes. I did the initial research on Google, and used Claude Code to help point me in the right direction (although I made sure not to let Claude write any of the actual code since the whole point of building this game was to learn more Java and game development).
Claude code is Google 2.0, the possibilities it opens up for new software projects are awesome, but I don't think that's where the greatest impact potential is.
AI is a personalized learning tool, we went from having to read books (although I still prefer books for their comprehensiveness and presentation style), then you could Google information, now with AI you can ask customized questions and tailor your learning plan entirely for you.
Leveraging AI as a study/research agent is the greatest leverage that you can use it for, it's conversational nature allows you to learn things that would have taken weeks in days.
